Primary Function

This role is responsible for posting all insurance payments and adjustments correctly in accordance with best practices and meeting performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Timely posting of all lockbox payments for assigned partner offices.
• Timely posting of EFT Medicaid payments for assigned partner offices
• Properly itemizing payment
• Making the proper adjustments to patient ledgers according to the Explanation of benefits and company standards
• Balancing deposit slip
• Create Issue traks for all denials received for further review. 
• File secondary claims as needed.
• Proper distribution of any correspondence received through lockbox to other departments.
• Submit refund request as needed.
• Complete other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Understanding Insurance and Explanation of benefits
• Previous high volume posting experience.
• Dentrix, Eaglesoft or Open Dental software experience preferred.
• Understanding of Dental terminology
• Detail oriented with great organizational skills.
• Typing/Data Entry Skills
• Ability to prioritize workload to achieve set timelines/goals.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
• MS Office Suite knowledge is a plus.
