
MB2 Dental is seeking a strategic, visionary Director of Procurement – Clinical Equipment to lead and scale our clinical procurement function across a rapidly growing network of dental practices. This is not a transactional role; it is a high-impact leadership position responsible for architecting the future of equipment procurement across our organization. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of transformational leadership, deep knowledge of dental equipment and vendor networks, and experience in the Dental Support Organization (DSO) or dental dealer space.
You will lead a growing team, build scalable processes, and partner cross-functionally with operations, new practice integration, clinical leaders, and vendor partners. Your mandate is to enhance clinical outcomes and financial performance through innovative, strategic procurement of dental equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive equipment procurement strategy aligned with MB2’s growth objectives and clinical priorities.
- Team Development:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing procurement team. Champion professional development and create a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Vendor Management & Negotiation:
- Cultivate strategic relationships with manufacturers and distributors. Lead complex negotiations to secure advantageous pricing, service terms, and product availability.
- Clinical Collaboration:
- Partner with dentists and regional leaders to align equipment standards with clinical workflows and innovation.
- Process Optimization:
- Identify and implement best practices, systems, and technologies to streamline procurement workflows and enhance transparency, consistency, and speed of execution.
- DPO Integration & Scalability:
- Develop playbooks and scalable solutions for integrating new practices and de novos, ensuring timely, cost-effective equipment procurement and installation.
- Analytics & Performance:
- Track, analyze, and report on procurement performance, savings, and vendor compliance. Use data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 8+ years in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management, with a focus on dental or healthcare equipment.
- 3+ years in a leadership role, with demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Proven experience in the DSO or dental dealer space is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with complex, multi-location operations.
