Qualifications

• Must hold a valid AZ Hygiene license
• 5+ years of hands-on Hygienist experience is required
• iTero experience is ideal
• Familiarity with Dentrix is preferred

Duties include

• Exposing radiographs
• Perform oral cancer screening
• Administering local anesthetic and Nitrous oxide
• Give a proper dental hygiene diagnosis—follow the Hygiene Protocol as described by Dr. Brady and Dr. Wedemeier
• Perform prophylaxis
• Perform Scaling and Root planing
• Perform full mouth debridement
• Educate patients on oral disease
• Sterilize instruments
• Stock hygiene room
• Properly clean and disinfect the hygiene room
• Help assistants with cleaning up the office and putting away supplies
• Do appropriate “downtime” activities whenever an appointment is canceled or missed, including helping to fill the schedule, calling on recare, and other activities as listed on the Downtime List
• Complete the timely monthly Production Tracker and evaluate production and collections on an ongoing basis to ensure the meeting of goals
• Complete assigned tasks as part of the End of Day Checklist each day
• Participating in team-building exercises and providing feedback and ideas for improving overall team cohesiveness and productivity, as well as improving systems within hygiene, specifically
