Key Responsibilities

• Submit dental insurance claims accurately and promptly (electronic and paper)
  
• Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and patient balances
  
• Post payments from insurance and patients into the practice management system
  
• Verify dental insurance benefits and patient coverage
  
• Review EOBs and address claim denials or payment discrepancies
  
• Generate and send patient statements; set up and manage payment plans
  
• Communicate with insurance companies and patients to resolve billing issues
  
• Maintain AR aging reports and work toward monthly collection goals
  
• Collaborate with front office and clinical staff to ensure accurate billing
  
• Assist with month-end reporting and internal audits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Certification in medical/dental billing preferred
• 1–2 years of AR or dental billing experience preferred
• Familiarity with dental insurance, CDT codes, and dental terminology
• Experience with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data
