We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting techniques, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques, including but not limited to pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and oral surgery
• Prepare and maintain instruments and equipment in accordance with aseptic techniques
• Take and develop dental radiographs: including but not limited to, bitewings, periapicals, panoramic, and cephalometrics radiographs
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Support front office duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff

Experience

• Previous experience in dental assisting is mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate (At least 2 years)
• Pediatric and oral surgery experience is preferred
• Familiarity with dental systems and software is advantageous: Open Dental
• Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is beneficial
• Experience in managing responsibilities typical of a dental receptionist is a plus
• A strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols is essential
