We are looking for a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our team at University Family Dental in Las Cruces, NM. The Treatment Coordinator plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional patient experience by helping patients understand their treatment options, scheduling appointments, and coordinating financial arrangements. This position bridges the gap between clinical care and administrative excellence, ensuring that every patient receives compassionate, high-quality service from start to finish.

Position Details

  • Position: Full-Time Treatment Coordinator

  • Schedule: Monday - Thursday

  • Office Hours: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

  • Pay Range: $15 - $18/hour

  • Bonus: Monthly bonus opportunities

  • Location: Las Cruces, NM

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Communication: Warmly greet patients and serve as their main point of contact for all treatment-related questions and concerns.
  • Treatment Presentation: Review proposed treatment plans with patients, clearly explain procedures and benefits, and help them make informed decisions about their dental care.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Efficiently schedule appointments and coordinate with the clinical team to maintain a smooth and organized patient flow throughout the day.
  • Financial Arrangements: Discuss treatment costs, review payment options, assist with insurance benefits, prepare cost estimates, and help arrange financing when needed.
  • Insurance & Billing: Verify insurance coverage, submit pre-authorizations, and provide support for billing and claims inquiries.
  • Patient Follow-Up: Reach out to patients regarding pending treatment, missed appointments, or outstanding balances to ensure continuity of care.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately maintain patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and office policies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff to deliver seamless communication and an exceptional patient experience.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Prior dental treatment coordinating experience is preferred

  • Software: Experience with Dentrix software preferred

  • Language Skills: Bilingual preferred (not required)

  • Ideal Candidate: Friendly, professional, organized, and passionate about helping patients understand and pursue their dental health goals
