MB2 Dental, a first-of-its-kind Dental Partnership Organization (DPO) founded in 2007, is seeking a Payer Strategy Specialist to join our team in Carrollton, TX! This is an excellent opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment while independently managing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
 
Support Payer Strategy’s mission to negotiate and maintain the best terms and compensation with dental carriers on behalf of MB2 Dental Partner offices. Primary responsibilities include data analytics, database scrubbing, and general administrative support of Partner Support Managers.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist Partner Support Managers by supporting UCR Reviews and Payer Reviews.
  • Support Partner discussions via data gathering, interpretation, and presentation in informative ways.
  • Critically review data sets for accuracy to ensure a valid basis for decision-making.
  • Provide general administrative support, such as monitoring and delegation of the Payer Strategy inbox, De Novo launch process, and PDF to Excel conversions.
  • Partner with internal departments, such as Revenue Cycle and Credentialing, to research and resolve Payer-related issues.
  • Collect and investigate EOBs when offices encounter payment obstacles or similar challenges.
  • Coordinate patient grievance resolution, as needed.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.

  • Computer Skills
    • Computer literate.
    • Familiarity with navigating dental insurance portals.
    • Software: working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Adobe.
    • Software: advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create, manipulate, analyze, and interpret spreadsheets.
    • Working knowledge of the Internet, Internet browsers, and search engines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree desired.
  • Dental industry experience preferred.
  • Two to five years of experience in dental office management and/or dental plan administration is desirable.
  • Experience in dental billing and credentialing is desirable.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Limited travel – 5-10% of the time.
  • Minimal overnight travel required.
