
The Smile Lodge Pediatric Dentistry is a fun, fast-paced, and team-oriented dental practice dedicated to providing exceptional care for children in a positive and supportive environment. We’re looking for reliable, hard-working, and motivated individuals to join our amazing Dental Assisting team at our Clifton Park location!
No dental experience? No problem! We offer on-the-job training so you can learn everything you need to succeed.
Schedule: Full-Time, 4 x 10-hour shifts
Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour
A 4-day work week

Retrieves patients and responsible parties from the waiting room in an engaging manner, escorting them back to the clinical area
Escort patients and responsible parties to check out upon completion of the appointment
Identifies any areas of concern to be brought to the dentist’s or hygienist’s attention
Receives and documents consent for any treatment to be performed during the visit (fluoride, radiographs, N20, sedation, etc.)
Takes and documents diagnostic radiographs for patients when a licensed professional identifies the need
Consistently delivers benefit statements and utilizes patient hand-outs to support the education of legal guardians
Accurately documents all findings by a licensed professional as well as treatment performed during the appointment
Is able to reiterate proposed treatment plans determined by the doctor to the legal guardian in a way that makes them feel comfortable and valued
Accurately indicates the next appointment needed using the appropriate appointment descriptions
Engages the patient during “downtimes” when waiting for the doctor or hygienist to become available, delivering a patient experience that is unsurpassed
Anticipates the hygienist's or doctors' needs during the appointment to ensure a seamless visit
Adheres to OSHA standards by consistently wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Efficiently breaks down, cleans, and sets up work stations (chairs and rooms) in between appointments to OSHA standards
Maintains up-to-date CPR/BLS certification
Non-Essential Tasks
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Reliable, professional, and eager to learn
Comfort working with children
Must be available for a full-time, four-day work week
